PT Benteng Mas Persada Launches First Export to Guyana

Surabaya, 15th of August 2025 – PT Benteng Mas Persada has once again demonstrated its commitment to expanding its international market. This is marked by the first export of plastic household appliances, including 4,432 types of products such as plates, bowls, glasses, buckets, and jars to Guyana, Latin America.

The official launch of the export of one 40-foot high cube container was conducted by the Director General of National Export Development, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Mrs. Fajarini Puntodewi, S.H., M.Si, in a hybrid format. The event took place at PT Benteng Mas Persada, located at Jl. Pergudangan Margomulyo Permai Blok Q No.17A, Surabaya, East Java. The release was attended by representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, freight forwarders (logistics), as well as company management and employees.

The Director of PT Benteng Mas Persada expressed his appreciation to all parties who have supported the success of this export, particularly the Ministry of Trade through the Directorate General of National Export Development, which has continuously encouraged national businesses to penetrate non-traditional markets.

“This export to Guyana is clear proof of our commitment to bringing Indonesian products to the world stage. We are optimistic that this step will open up wider opportunities in Latin America,” she said.

Furthermore, the company emphasized that this first export to Guyana is not the end, but rather the beginning of a long-term strategy to expand market penetration in Latin America. 

Previously, PT Benteng Mas Persada had successfully exported products to Asia, the Middle East, and the Pacific. With this new achievement, the company is optimistic that it will be able to expand its distribution network while increasing the competitiveness of national products at the global level.

Representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Trade also expressed their full support for PT Benteng Mas Persada’s initiative. “We appreciate PT Benteng Mas Persada’s efforts and hard work in developing non-traditional markets. Latin America is a region that is still wide open to Indonesian products, and we believe that these exports will be an important momentum to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global market,” he said.

The success of these exports has not only impacted the company’s performance, but has also contributed significantly to national export growth, job opportunities, and the strengthening of the Indonesian economy.
