On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the 39th international trade exhibition or Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) held at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, Banten was officially opened directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Different from before, this year’s TEI carries the theme “Build Strong Connection with the Best of Indonesia” with the hope that local entrepreneurs will be able to build strong, sustainable connections with potential buyers from abroad so that local products can later reach the international market.
In his opening speech, President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) also mentioned that the phenomenon of inflation affecting many countries could turn this situation into an opportunity that could be utilized to strengthen the national economy.
There were around 41,488 visitors from 140 different countries who visited this International exhibition, from the total number of visitors, there were around 8,402 potential buyers who had visited on the first day.
This year, the Ministry of Trade has increased the transaction target for the 2024 TEI exhibition to US$ 15 billion or around Rp233.7 trillion. This figure has almost doubled the transaction target in the previous year of US$ 11 billion or around Rp172.7 trillion.

This export exhibition has the same program arrangement as last year, such as business matching, business counselling, international seminars, live performances, and buyers night.
The 39th Trade Expo Indonesia is divided into three different zones based on products starting from the food, beverage, and agricultural products zone, the manufacturing products zone, and the home living, fashion, and services zone.
PT Bentang Mas Persada is one of the companies that joined the international trade exhibition and is included in the third zone, the food, beverage, and agricultural products zone. Although the products exhibited do not match the booth zone, PT Benteng Mas Persada can enter the zone because the booth is affiliated with GPEI (Indonesian Export Entrepreneurs Association).
By participating in international trade exhibitions, PT Benteng Mas Persada wants to be able to introduce the best quality household equipment products to potential overseas buyers, so that it can reach the international market.
There are around more than 30 pieces of the best quality household products exhibited at the Trade Expo Indonesia. All products are from various categories ranging from kitchenware, furniture, cleaning, gardening, storage, to plasticware.

Not only participating in the exhibition, PT Benteng Mas Persada also participated in several programs provided by Trade Expo Indonesia, such as international seminars, business matching, business forums and buyer’s night as an entertainment event for the buyers and exhibitors.
Several programs that are followed can provide PT Benteng Mas Persada with the opportunity to get to know more potential buyers and international importers, so that it can open up export opportunities to various countries even wider.
The program is also an opportunity for PT Benteng Mas Persada to build connections with the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Industry, and associations tasked with assisting export business actors.
